TĂĽrkiye Nitro 1/10 GP championship 2ND Round has been completed at BUMOD track at BURSA. There was warm and shiny weather that everybody enjoyed. Race has been done one of the best tracks of country that placed fully green and track is offering more than adequate.
Race day has been covering both 1/10 GP and 1/8 GP races on the same day. This race day was the first race that brand new XRAY NT1 2013s took place on the stage at GP 1/10. It was not more than 1 week that drivers got their cars but time did not allow them to test and get familiar with their new car. So everything would be done at track.
45Minute final paused at 6th minute due to technical problem. Then remaining period has been re-started and heat run completed as 40 minutes.
The end of the day; was definitely happy for XRAY drivers since they able to find 2 places at podium and total 4 cars listed at top 5.

âśIn the 2nd race of Turkish nationals 2013, I suddenly decided to change my car to new nt1 2013, thanks to TEAM NCRC, car arrived a week before the race which gave me enough time to build. This was my first experience with XRAY nitro cars, for 1/10 EP cars I have always used XRAY and have seen the same quality and strength while building the NT1.
I always used solid axle on the front, while building the car I decided to stick to the standard setup with a slightly stiffer diff in the front.
In the seeding and qualifications I started to get used to the car and improve my best time around 1 second between seeding and finals.
I was all around happy with the standard setup, I had only one issue with corner entries, car was under steering from front, I just lowered the front roll center, it worked but not as much as I expected. I should have tried a thinner wire anti roll bar on the front which I didn't have in spares. I will try this in rd3 in 2 weeks.
I start the final in 3rd position, 2nd position was also a XRAY nt1 2013 driver. We run until the end of race by maximum of 5-6 seconds of distance from each other, we switched positions only when we entered the pits. I took the 2nd place at the end of the race thanks to my fast pit guy and good engine we made 1 pit less than him.âť
